Daily inmate census report, 1927-1928.

This series consists of daily inmate census reports indicating the location and numbers of inmates each day from August 19, 1927 to May 18, 1928. The census was most likely maintained by Sing Sing's deputy warden. For each day, the volume indicates: the total number of inmates received and discharged; number of men at each prison location when the daily census was taken (kitchen, hospital, road company, etc.); and total inmate count.
